Publisher's description

Supporting a complete range of video formats including MPEG-4 AVC (H.264) and audio technologies DTS 96/24, Dolby Digital EX, PowerDVD enhances your movie experience outdoors with flexible mobile features such as the new 'See-It-All ' feature that speeds up and completes movie playback before battery power runs out along with a built-in pack for saving essential battery power. PowerDVD 7 has been recognized as a winner of CES Innovations 2007 Design and Engineering Award for the following 2 new features: 'Say It Again' feature that instantly repeats a speaker's entire dialog and 'Read-It-Clearly' feature that migrates subtitles to open areas for unobstructed viewing. PowerDVD also offers 5 viewing modes: Dock--resizes panel and fits to bottom of screen; Taskbar--allows access to controls via icon on taskbar; Mini--space-saving design for essential disc control, Full screen--expands viewing mode; Control panel--translucent floating panel.

Version 7 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

Editor's review of CyberLink PowerDVD Sometimes you really do get what you pay for. At least you do with the pricey CyberLink PowerDVD, a nifty video player that combines ease of use, top-notch performance, and an outstanding feature set. We can hardly find anything to complain about. The compact and handy interface comes in several flavors, including a miniature version with minimal playback controls. The context menu is customizable, and the program automatically resumes playback from the last point you viewed. You can bookmark interesting scenes and move subtitles so they don't interfere with the picture. Video-enhancement options include color profiles and Eagle Vision technology, which makes the picture brighter and more natural. CyberLink PowerDVD also has tools for improving sound on headphones or two-speaker systems. You can enable a different parental control level for each of your kids. What's not to like? OK, the price: $$79.95 for the full-blown Deluxe version. However, if you can do without DTS decoding, DVD audio, and a handful of other features, you can get a slightly stripped-down version for $$49.95--and have plenty of power to spare.
