ZenKey resides in the system tray, where you can view the categorized shortcut menus. You can easily use the app's wizard function to quickly guide you through setting up your shortcut combinations, or just use the ZenKey configuration option to change appearance, behavior, and action. ZenKey effectively provides shortcuts to almost every function and feature--from Windows utilities to launching programs, or even your media player.

However, although this program runs in the background, it overrides existing hot keys on other programs, making them unavailable. Unfortunately, there is no suspending or pause option to cancel this effect, except to terminate the program from your system tray. Nonetheless, any user of this free app can appreciate the quick access to programs that it provides.
