Golden Eye works like a surveillance camera pointed directly at your computer monitor, monitoring and recording anything anybody does on your computer, and storing this in a secure area for later review. With the full detail and searchable interactive report and HTML report provided by Golden Eye, you easily can know how your computer is being used or what is being done on your computer.

Editor's review of Golden Eye More a private investigator than a corporate supersleuth, Golden Eye is a capable, easy-to-use system spy. It tracks almost everything that happens on a PC, including keystrokes, clipboard contents, visited Web sites, launched programs, viewed documents, and instant messages. It also can take screenshots at set intervals. Importantly, it protects itself quite well against smart users.

It can't be seen in Task Manager or the Add/Remove Programs control panel, and it requires a password to uninstall or change settings. The tabbed interface is well organized, but we found the cramped display inconvenient for viewing data. Luckily, Golden Eye can dump reports to HTML. However, it can't send reports via e-mail or FTP, making it useful mainly to homes and small businesses.
