Publisher's description
One of the best ways to improve your brewing is to have a good source of information. BrewWizard 2 provides the home brewer with the Brewer's Encyclopedia, a source of information on a multitude of topics related to home brewing. BrewWizard also provides a Recipe Calculator (with Recipe Database), a Brewing Inventory database, a Beer Style Guide and a way to automatically generate Shopping Lists based on the recipes you want to brew.
Version 2.05 is a bug fixing release.
Editor's review of BrewWizard
Although its appearance is lackluster, BrewWizard does a decent job of letting you catalog your own beer recipes and gain access to an encyclopedia of home-brewing information.
The program's bland interface is simple and easy to operate and features a preloaded recipe list, brewing inventory, beer categories, and shopping lists. The encyclopedia includes information and a couple of handbooks regarding home brewing. You can easily add your own recipes, edit existing ones, change units, modify ingredients, view recipe characteristics or create a shopping list from the ingredients. Fermentation instructions and malt formulator also are part of the package.
We like how easy it is to operate BrewWizard, and most of its features worked well during assessment. You also can print, import/export recipes, or save them as Web pages. Overall, professional and home brewers alike can benefit from what this title has to offer.
