Publisher's description

Millesime, The Cellar Book is a software program, which allows you to manage one or more cellars (stock intakes, issues and transfers), whether divided among several locations or not. Give assessments to wines and vintages and follow their development through successive testing; display the characteristics, properties and labels of wines and vintages; index the foods and recipes consumed with each wine, and so be able to the identify the wines most suitable for each food later on; and manage restocking by Internet.
Editor's review of Millesime, The Cellar Book This comprehensive database application allows for the management of multiple wine cellars, but isn't intuitive to use or navigate. Millesime, The Cellar Book has a plain interface with a file menu and six large buttons that include Wine Definition, Vintages, and Stock. A wizard would have been great to help you get started, as the program offers no clue on how to begin. The help file is extensive but somewhat complicated. The Cellar Book does include blank inventory sheets to compile necessary data and use as guides for entering information. You'll need to add cellars and locations first with The Cellar Book button, then you can add stock with the Intake Stock button. Once entered, you can manage stock, print inventory lists by location, and even add notes about the tasting of any wine. This application has a lot to offer for the serious wine collector, but requires at least an intermediate level of computer knowledge to comfortably use it.
