Editor's review of CollegeBAR This program belies its rather humble appearance by providing a huge list of recipes for alcoholic drinks and a few other handy tools. CollegeBar's standard gray interface is rather drab-looking by nature, but it is blissfully easy to understand at first glance. The developer has attempted to spruce the gray-box theme up with rotating photos of both watering holes and intoxicated-looking students, but they really don't add much. Beyond its drink recipes, the program's most useful feature is its tool that quickly tells you what cocktails you can mix with the ingredients you currently have in stock. CollegeBar also offers a list of bartending tips and a blood-alcohol-level calculator, useful if you need to convince your friend he's had one too many. If for some reason the program doesn't include one of your favorite drinks, you easily can add the recipe. Though college students will certainly find this application useful, anyone who routinely throws parties will appreciate its no-nonsense approach.
