The interface is logically arranged and features menus, a planning tool, shopping lists, and large icons for recipes. The only problem we had with the program's design is you must create a cookbook and separate chapters to begin adding your own recipes. If you're looking for a new meal to prepare, the program comes with a large list of built-in recipes, ranging from holiday fare to dishes for diabetics. We especially liked the abilities to quickly calculate calories and nutritional information for all recipes in the database, as well as automatically generate a shopping list for a particular dish. We can see how both professional chefs and home-cooking hobbyists can benefit from what Cook'n Recipe Organizer has to offer.
