Editor's review of Audio CD Maker A generous trial period helps us forgive this basic CD-burning program's quirks and glitches. Audio CD Maker's main rather bland interface is easy enough to understand, although we find it a bit strange the program forces you to insert a blank disc before you can add MP3 and WAV files to a project. Like most respectable burning applications, this one lets you write discs at up to 32X, although we still wish it could create data discs. The ability to erase CD-RWs is a nice plus, as is the CD-ripping utility. Unfortunately, when we retested this program, the latter feature failed to retrieve track information from the Web, even when we tried multiple discs. However, unlike many of its stingier competitors, this application's demo version lets you make as many discs as you want for a full 15 days. Audio CD Maker certainly isn't perfect, but users with basic needs may find it makes a suitable pick.
