The utility also comes with a few unique features, including a robust search tool that locates files by date, type, size, and compression format. For others to decompress native StuffIt files, they'll either need the free StuffIt Expander utility or they'll be presented with a self-extracting archive, which adds to the overall file size. Fortunately, StuffIt also can compress in several other formats, including ZIP, TAR, and BinHex, though you won't get the added JPEG compression.
