Editor's review of Telling Stories Though difficult to pigeonhole, Telling Stories basically lets you create a slide-show-based biography. A wizard walks you through the process of designing the presentation by asking for your name, sex, and date of birth. It then automatically arranges your life along a time line, notes your major birthdays, and adds important historical events for context. You can add any important life-shaping events, such as graduation, romance, or the death of a loved one. When creating an event such as a romance, you can add notes, photos, music, voice-overs, and video to make your story more vivid. Once you've created your slide show, Presentation mode lets you set background images, change fonts, and apply transition effects for each slide. This demo allows you to save your creation as a self-playing EXE file, but the DVD-burning tool isn t available until you register. All told, this unique application is a great way for anyone to preserve his or her precious memories.
