Perfect Popup Killer installs as a Web-browser toolbar in Internet Explorer, Netscape, or Mozilla, but also sits in your system tray. You'll find a dedicated whitelist for allowing pop-ups from specific sites and a hot-key option for doing so on the fly. When the program slays an ad, it can alert you by flashing, beeping, and playing a sound. In our tests, the utility didn't slow down our Web surfing and capably handled most pop-ups and Flash ads, but it can't deal with banner ads. Although it doesn't offer anything we'd consider special, Perfect Popup Killer still makes a decent choice for all but the most hard-core Web surfers.
