Secret Record can encrypt and compress files to CD and DVD discs and can analyze the data. The encrypted and compressed files can't be shown in Windows Explorer; they can only be seen with Secret Record. You can set a password to back up secret or private file data, then economize your CD space and record multi-session CDs. Version 3.26 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

This application, in addition to burning information to a CD or DVD, encrypts that information to keep it away from prying eyes. Files can't be read by any standard file manager, but Secret Record includes an executable file on the disc so the intended recipient can read encrypted files. All files and folders are password-protected. Secret Record also supports recording multisession discs, a feature not found often in similar programs. We didn't have any problems encrypting or compressing files onto a disc during testing. The program interface is straightforward, if not entirely well-designed. Though plenty of free CD-burning programs are on the market, this one makes sense for those concerned with security.
