Publisher's description
HT MPEG Encoder 7.0 is an encoder with high compression rates and fast conversion, and it shows its true performance when used with an Intel MMX products. This easy-to-use program provides exciting MPEG video streams, and with its fast movement-prediction algorithm allows high compression rates and clear-quality video. Also, batch operation and a simple GUI make encoding very easy. This version has faster encoding speeds and improved picture quality and supports WMV 9 and AVI output. With enhanced DirectShow support, most of the files playable with Media Player can be converted.
Editor's review of HT MPEG Encoder Though its name specifies only one video format, this utility can actually convert clips among various types. Most users won't have trouble with the self-explanatory interface and will appreciate the ability to track the conversion process via the preview window, although doing so slows PC performance a bit. Besides MPEG-1 and MPEG-2, the program supports WMV and AVI files. You don't need to know specifications of particular formats or systems such as PAL or NTSC, as the software has special presets for creating files in various qualities. We like the basic video editor for trimming clips, as well as support for the compressed VBR format. HT MPEG Encoder makes a nice pick for novices.
