Editor's review of LogTek Puzzle Maker This program helps users create Japanese puzzles also known as pic-a-pix, griddlers, and nonograms, but the program is limited to those familiar with these puzzles. LogTeks Puzzle Maker has a simple interface that gives users the ability to create black-and-white or color puzzles by painting selected cells to create a hidden picture. The program then counts all cells and calculates the formula necessary to reveal the hidden picture and solve the puzzle.

Once a puzzle is created, users can test the puzzle or print it, although the testing functions isn't 100 percent accurate and is extremely slow. Additionally, the program only creates puzzles that are 50 cells in height and width and the colors are limited to eight. While this program definitely requires time and patience on the front end, Japanese puzzle enthusiasts will find this freeware application worthwhile.
