Publisher's description

Refresher lets you automatically refresh Web pages at custom intervals. Useful for updating sports results (BBC), Web mail (i.e. hotmail) or on-line auctions. You can also use a dual & tabbed browser mode where you can refresh, navigate & view two different websites simultaneously. You can also program Refresher to remind you or shut down the computer at a specific time. Refresher also incorporates a complete help reference for troubleshooting. Version 1.2 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.
Editor's review of Refresher

This feature-packed browser program offers a good alternative to continuously hitting F5 or the Refresh button. Refresher offers the standard features to navigate the Web, and its simply designed interface includes an address bar, toolbar, file menu and the familiar navigational options. The program's claim to fame is its automatic Refresh feature. There are straightforward Start/Stop buttons, and you can easily choose frequency in minutes or seconds. It worked as promised, using several different refresh rates.

Refresher throws in some bonus features so you can create reminders or set a timer to shut down or log off. It even includes a simple HTML editor. Unlike Firefox and other browsers that allow you to open multiple tabs in one window, Refresher's Dual Browser option only permits two pages displayed side by side.

This handy freeware browser covers all the basics, with some effective extras that go beyond surfing the Web. If you frequently monitor auctions and other quickly-changing Web sites, you'll like this keystroke-saving freeware.
