Publisher's description
Keep important files at your fingertips, whether you are at work or home. All file changes are automatically synchronized between linked computers so you are always accessing the latest information. FolderShare frees you from the hassles of e-mailing documents, loading files onto removable storage devices, or burning CDs and DVDs to stay in sync. Share photos and files with friends, collaborate with colleagues, or keep your computers in sync through FolderShare's private, secure network. Then every time you update the shared files, FolderShare will update your friends' or colleagues' hard drives instantly.
Version 2.5.10 includes minor various improvements.
Editor's review of FolderShare So the world's your office, but your files are on your office PC. What do you do? FolderShare gives you a free and convenient way to access your files from anywhere in the world. After registering your account and installing the program on your computers, you can browse folders and open files using any browser (as long as the computers are turned on). FolderShare lets you automatically keep files synchronized in selected folders. It also lets you organize a workgroup in which to share specified files. The permissions system and the message board help you establish order in this ad-hoc community. FolderShare encrypts file transfers, though we were concerned you can't keep sensitive folders from being viewed on the Web. If your password gets compromised, your files are fair game. Additionally, the program lacks a one-piece offline user manual, and its Web interface is far from straightforward. However, given FolderShare's free price and extreme usefulness, we think most people will forgive its shortcomings.
