Publisher's description

Propaganda lets you create commercial-quality Podcast shows with a minimum of effort. Whether it's voice recordings, music, or sound effects, Propaganda can record it, import it, and store it. All your audio clips can be labeled and organized for later reference. Then just drag your audio clips into a show sequence, and preview how everything sounds. Reorder clips on the time line, add some more content, or delete entire segments at will. And beyond sequencing, you can edit any clip to make it shorter, louder, or quieter.

Propaganda also handles music and sound effects. When you're satisfied with your production, simply click the Publish button and share it with the world. Propaganda will upload your completed Podcast to your Web site, with full RSS, XML, and HTML support. Version 1.2.1 includes 90 days of free podcast hosting, powered by libsyn.com.

Editor's review of Propaganda

With plenty of applications out there for receiving, finding, playing, and managing podcasts, there has been an obvious drought in software designed specifically to create podcasts. Propaganda is a fantastically designed, full-featured program that makes it easy for beginners to record, arrange, and output the necessary files to join the podcasting revolution.

The first thing you'll notice about Propaganda is the gorgeous interface. Wrapped in an iTunes-esque brushed-metal skin, the program is truly striking. The interface is divided into three panes: one for your library of files, one that shows files in use for the current project, and an intuitive multitrack Arrange window where you assemble everything via drag-and-drop transfers. Recording audio is as simple as hitting the Record button and adjusting the input level. Propaganda is definitely geared toward first-timers, but many basic controls--including those for volume, EQ, and automatic rewinding--seem overly complicated. Once your project is assembled, the awesome Publish feature creates the necessary XML, HTML, and MP3 files to get your podcast download-ready. Note that the trial version inserts promo messages into your podcasts, so you'll need to pay the full $$49.95 to get your Internet radio career underway. Still, despite a few usability trip-ups, Propaganda is the most full-featured start-to-finish podcasting application we've run across and comes highly recommended.
