In JumpStart World's interactive 3D "summer camp," kids choose an animal avatar and embark on "hero missions" to earn shields and gems--the in-game currency--for following instructions, doing good deeds, and mastering fun, educational games to improve verbal, logic, and coordination skills over the course of 12 units. A host of characters guide your avatar through the colorful world, which kids learn to maneuver in a thorough tutorial.

Thanks to appealing graphics, believable voices, and thoughtful programming, JumpStart World Second Grade is a gentle and engaging game capable of keeping a young child's attention. Older or more active kids may find the game slow, particularly the compulsory orientating tuition. We appreciate that parents can personalize the world with holidays and photos, and access progress reports from the Parent's Center. We would prefer a more sophisticated navigation menu that allows quick players to skip ahead.
