Webaroo is a free software application that gives you the power to store, browse and search web content on the go. Webaroo's advanced technology enables you to search web content offline on your Windows laptop/desktop, Windows Mobile PDA/Smartphone, portable storage devices, and U3 devices. With Webaroo you can: store your web content (web packs and web sites), search or browse the content that you've stored offline, sync your content (optional) to a Windows mobile device to access the latest web content on the go. Webaroo is fast, free, and always on. It offers download of over 100 web packs, like Wikipedia, News, Sports, Celebrities. You can also download your browser bookmarks, favorites or almost any website to access on the go. Webaroo is available in English, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Spanish languages and can be also downloaded from the developer's Web site. Version 1.3.94 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

Note: The Download Now link will download a small installer file to your desktop. Remain online and double-click the installer to proceed with the actual download.

Editor's review of Webaroo

Webaroo impressively gives offline access to online Web pages, though our Internet Explorer and Firefox favorites didn't download. This cool software quickly stores selected pages to its cache and gives you offline access to them via its system tray icon. It worked quite well, aside from the fact that our Favorites list did not successfully download (despite a message to the contrary).

The program did successfully let us add sites one by one and as Web packs. With Web packs, you can download several sites at once based on a particular category such as blogs, culture, entertainment, or games. It doesn't give the standard interface, but rather an easy-to-navigate Web page-like interface. Adding sites was easy, and though downloads were a bit slow, we were impressed with the outcome. You can even schedule automatic updates once a day at a specific time.

Advanced settings are great for filtering what gets downloaded to your system. Though we aren't pleased that our Favorites didn't download, we like this program's aptitude. You'll need Microsoft .NET 2.0 to run it, but you'll like having access to Web pages on your mobile devices and laptop.
